About the Ambassador

The Ambasssador opened its doors to the world on January 1, 1921. The grand hotel served as a important part of Los Angeles culture, until its closing in 1989.

Location

The Ambassador is located at 3400 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90010. This part of LA is often called the Mid-Wilshire district. The Ambassador fronts onto Wilshire, and is bordered by Catalina Street on the west, Mariposa Avenue on the east. Seventh Street runs discontinuous east-west on either side of the complex. The Ambassador is bordered by Eighth Street on the south.
